The Samsung Galaxy Note Has A Large Super Amoled Capacitive Touchscreen December 31st, 2011

The Samsung Galaxy Note is the latest instalment in the Galaxy series of smartphones from Samsung. Like the popular Galaxy S2, this handset packs a rather impressive spec list, in a somewhat larger device which almost verges on being classed as a tablet.

In this article I will provide an overview of its specifications so you can decide if this is the right smartphone for you.

The Samsung Galaxy Note, as mentioned, is a rather large device. This is thanks to its whopping 5.3 inch super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, which offers a resolution of 800x 1280. This results in great image quality, as the resolution is increased to match the large dimensions of the screen. The large size of the screen is likely to appeal to many types of user; from those who like to watch movies on their phone, to frequent web browsers, to business users who want a large screen to maximise workspace.

All the added extras you would expect from any smartphone screen are included such as accelerometer and proximity sensors, as well as a gyroscope sensor. The screen is manufactured from Gorilla glass, which is toughened and able to withstand being dropped occasionally. Despite the dimensions of the handset being large to accommodate the screen, it is remarkably slim at just 9.7mm, so it is pocket friendly, and also lightweight at 178 grams.

Storage of files on the handset is no problem with the Samsung Galaxy Note; in fact it is one of its strengths. With either 16 or 32 GB models to choose from, it certainly has amole capacity as standard, but users can also take advantage of the integrated microSD slot.

This comes with a pre-installed 2 GB memory card but this can be replaced with a card of up to 32 GB, so multimedia files, work files and others can be stored in the phone without fear of running out of space.

Super fast web browsing is another of the handset’s strengths. At 21 Mbps in 3G areas, this is in par with its stablemate, the Samsung Galaxy S2 in terms of data download speeds, and puts it ahead of competing smartphones such as the iPhone 4 (7.2 Mbps) and the HTC Sensation (14.4 Mbps). Of course, Wi-Fi connectivity is included along with a Wi-Fi hotspot feature. This allows users to provide a Wi-Fi connection to devices such as laptops and tablets by using the phones 3G connection.

The Samsung Galaxy Note also had a built in camera, and at 8 megapixels, it is a very capable camera phone. The resolution of this is 3264x 2448, meaning that the results are very pleasing, with high levels of detail and clarity. Autofocus, LED flash, touch focus, face & smile detection and image stabilisation are some of the included features. The majority of these can be set to automatic, or adjusted manually, so you can take great shots with ease, but also add your own twist to them. Video capture is in 1080p quality, the highest resolution of high definition, putting this handset at the top in this respect, joined only by a few other phones.

The latest version of Android for smartphones (Gingerbread) is the operating system of choice, although there will probably be an update available when new versions such as “Ice Cream Sandwich” are released. Alongside a super powerful 1.4 GHz dual-core processor, this makes the Samsung Galaxy Note one of the most versatile and certainly one of the most powerful smartphone available. Only the HTC Sensation XE beats its processing power with a 1.5 GHz dual-core chip, but in reality, the performance of the Samsung Galaxy Note is just as good, and hardly noticeable to the naked eye.

It is very hard to say anything negative about the Samsung Galaxy Note. Every aspect of its spec list is treated to the most advanced technology currently available. From its camera to its screen to its processor, there are very few handsets that outdo it in any respect. Although it may not prove to be as popular as the iPhone series, or even the Galaxy S2, those who opt for this versatile device will certainly not regret it.

Torquato Tasso – Sorrento Poet – III December 31st, 2011

When You rent an apartment in Sorrento,  during Your stay in Sorrento, You’ll realize how beautiful and magic this town is.

Torquato Tasso submitted his epic poem to the trial of five influential experts in letters. He shared in part the scruples of the distinguished scholars, who had expressed moralistic critics. In response to this review, the poet wrote, in 1576, Allegory. To the literary scruples soon joined the religious one, which took the form of real feelings of persecution. To test his orthodoxy in the Christian faith, tasso voluntarily submitted himself to the court of the Inquisition of Ferrara, which acquitted him. The persecution mania became more and more obvious: one day, considering himself spied on by a servant, he threw against him a knife.

Duke Alfonso imprisoned Torquato Tasso in the convent of San Francesco, but he fled and, in 1578, he went to his sister in Sorrento, announcing his own death, to see her reaction: he revealed his true identity to the sister only after observing the reaction of the woman that was really grieved. This episode also highlights the author’s mental disturbance, which showed signs of insecurity. In 1579 he returned to Ferrara; because he do not found at the court the warm welcome he expected, tasso gave in outburst during the third wedding of Alfonso II with Margherita Gonzaga. The Duke then locked him in the Hospital St. Anne, in the famous cell called from then “of Tasso”, where he remained for seven years. Here, to the persecution mania, the writer by self-punitive trends.

Rent one of our Sorrento apartments, and You’ll enjoy the unique atmosphere of this beautiful city.

Emergency Dental Care: Putting Your Smile Back Together December 31st, 2011

Although many people consider dentistry an annual chore or even a cosmetic frivolity, it can become imminent and necessary with the introduction of emergency dental care.

Emergency dental care can involve a knocked-out tooth, severe toothache, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder or any number of other unexpected dental pains.  A toothache can mean a severe cavity which needs immediate filling.  TMJD can lock your jaw indefinitely if you don’t see a TMJ dentist.  Any dental condition which involves extreme pain should be professionally treated right away.  An emergency dentist knows how to treat unusual emergency cases; they’ll be able to treat patients efficiently and swiftly, while saving as much of the original tooth and gum structure as possible.

You can lose a tooth at any time: taking a precarious jump for that basketball point and getting knocked down, thus knocking out a tooth.  Jogging the dog around Town Lake and suddenly getting jerked to the side as Spot spots a squirrel, sending you and your teeth sprawling.  Simply carrying the groceries inside and stepping on a sidewalk crack can make you trip, hitting your jaw on the concrete as you attempt to catch the falling produce.

A Lakeway implant dentist can help.

Any time you lose a tooth, if at all possible, immediately put it in a clean container with water or milk.  Do not attempt to clean the tooth or put it in tissue paper; cleaning the tooth deadens the nerves, and putting it in tissue dehydrates them, minimizing the possibility of a reattachment.  If you suffer any additional injuries, go directly to a hospital; a bleeding head wound, for example, might require treatment prior to a tooth reattachment.  Otherwise, it’s probably safe to call your emergency dentist first and see if they can see you.  A tooth reattachment should occur as swiftly as possible.

A top emergency dentist in Lakeway, TX is Dr.

Robert D’Alfonso, DDS.  Offering occasional post-office hour services, Dr. D’Alfonso claims numerous titles: family dentist, general dentist, cosmetic dentist, sedation dentist and implant dentist in Lakeway.  All of these phrases come together to define Dr. D’Alfonso as a true dental healer, able to absolve any oral pain and reconstruct any dental destruction.  Call today to schedule your initial free consultation.

Gothic Wedding Dresses December 30th, 2011

There was certainly a time when a bride who was not wearing the expected white floor length wedding gown was stared at not with wonder or admiration, but by guests who were appalled that she could break away from tradition so easily. We are much luckier these days because many brides exercise their freedom to wear what they want to wear, not what others expect of them. They show their own uniqueness and their independent natures which makes them happier, more radiant brides than ever before.

Thankfully today brides wear all kinds of wedding dresses. Gothic wedding dresses are just one unique type of gown you will see at a modern wedding. Today brides wear short wedding dress, colored wedding dresses or white wedding dress with color, informal wedding gowns, and beach wedding dresses, Celtic, medieval, pagan or other wedding gowns to celebrate heritage or religious choices and freedoms.

So what does a gothic wedding dress mean exactly? Well, even though certain images may come to mind it all depends on who is thinking about it really.

There is no one gothic design that all brides who choose to go a little (or a lot) gothic in their ceremony choose over every other design and idea out there. What gothic wedding dress the bride chooses is really up to her idea of what she wants to look like on her wedding day. Many brides choose to wear darker colored gowns like deep reds, purples, blues and greens. It really helps if they gowns have intricate design features, like decorative beading, and a corset top looks especially nice.

Of course there are brides who want a more gothic feel to their ceremony but do not want to stray from white and like colors.

There are plenty of gothic wedding dresses that are white; they are just of a specific style. For instance Celtic and medieval gowns are most certainly gothic in nature. They tend to be stark white or ivory, but the style screams gothic beauty. They use design elements like tie corsets, long billowing sleeves and floor length gowns.

Many brides who choose to think outside the box for their gown also do so for the rest of their ceremony and reception. If you choose a gothic wedding dress you might want to carry that theme throughout the rest of the day. Many brides who choose a gothic theme also integrate the Celtic or medieval aspects into their ceremony and reception. One way to do this is to get married in a castle like setting (or to decorate it so it appears to be one). Be imaginative in how you want to do this, but a castle screams medieval wedding along with a fairytale wedding. What woman does not want to be part of a romantic fairytale?
